Hot Rod Cafe is sports bar/restaurant in New London, CT right across from those new condos. Great fun staff, a comfortable atmosphere, the best wings you ever had, (especially the jerk sauce), jumbo TVs, downloadable jukebox with thousands of songs, board games, (connect 4, operation, twister, jenga, etc), and wireless internet.

A favorite neighborhood bar and music venue with some of the best original national and regional music around. Oasis’s bar features an ever-changing lineup of 20 tap beers! The Oasis is very diverse as far as what music events are held there — from indie, folk, rock to metal, ska, DJ’s, electro/synth, goth, bluegrass, country and more! They also offer dance nights with local DJ’s every Wednesday and Thursday night. It’s a much smaller club, with a very dim lounge-like atmosphere and local art on the walls. 2 Wives Brick Oven Pizza won first prize at New London Main Street’s Fall Food Stroll for their delicious gourmet pizza in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The Exchange Bar & Grill is one of Bank Street’s most popular new hotspots. The spacious deck overlooks the river, and the back wall opens to create a completely open floor plan with fabulous views. The restaurant has an “ultra lounge” feel.

The Bulkeley House was built in 1790 as the home of Sea Captain Charles Bulkeley, who sailed with John Paul Jones. In the 1880’s, Charles Klink’s meat market opened here, with an icehouse in rear. Today you will find a decidedly modern gathering place, with a menu featuring American food with an Italian accent including fresh seafood, steaks, chicken & pasta. A selection of burgers including a mouth-watering black & bleu burger and a turkey burger also available. Enjoy the full bar, canopied deck and live music.

Traditional Columbian fare blends with American selections to make for a delectable menu.
